One word can change the character of your relationship.

Don’t believe me? I invite you to notice how you say hello to your partner.

Does your hello say, “I’m glad to see you!” or is your hello flavored with the taste of goodbye?

I am always sending people to episode #8 of my podcast where I tell the story of how hello changed the course of my relationship with my husband. This week, I’m bringing the episode back from the archives.

What will happen to your relationship if your hello is flavored with goodbye?

I tell this story over and over to clients who are struggling with the feeling, “My relationship feels sort of boring.”

And then I ask them, what is it like when you say hello? What is it like when you say goodbye? Because sometimes your hello sounds like goodbye.

We’ve all done it, right? You greet your partner when they walk through the door, but your hello has the energy of, “Oh, you’re here again,” or “Go away. I’m busy.”

You don’t mean to communicate that your partner is bothering you. But if you aren’t aware of how your “hello” may come across, it can push your sweetheart away.

In this episode you’ll learn the secret power of hello and goodbye

  • You’ll get a hello and goodbye habit to practice
  • I’ll give you a date night discussion prompt that will make you feel welcomed by your partner
  • And I’ll offer you a present that will add a game to your comings and goings
